Who we are
Hello, I'm Rachel, the owner of Woodyard Things.
Woodyard Things is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Teme Valley in Worcestershire.
I am the fourth generation daughter of a family of timber merchants, so wood to me is second nature and has always been a big part of my life.
From a very young age I was always very creative with off cuts of wood from the Sawmill and enjoyed designing and making unique items. This was only a hobby until one day a friend of mine who is a cake maker asked me to make her a log stand for a wedding cake she was creating. I made the stand and it looked fantastic with so many wonderful comments. That was then the start of Woodyard Things. The request for log style cake stands and centrepieces for rustic, country themed weddings grew more and more popular.
We not only supply log stands, we also offer unique items for weddings, celebrations, gardens and home decor. Please visit our shop to discover what we have to offer.
We also make items on request, if it can be made from wood then we can usually create it for you! Just message us and ask. All of our log stands and many of our items can be uniquely personalised to make your celebration an extra special one.
We are proud to say that all of our timber slices are produced from real English home grown, round timber that is sourced from sustainable managed forest and woodlands.
The log slice you will receive will be freshly sawn and shall be cut especially to your order. These slices are not mass factory produced, bought in or light weight. This is a real slice of rustic wood!
